What is the difference between art and entertainment?
How can a film affect the way we live our lives?
Do filmmakers have agendas, and how can we figure them out?
Twice a month, KIMEP students will be coming together to watch thought-provoking films. Following the screening, we will discuss the experience, and see if we can figure out what the film was trying to say. This is not an experience for the lazy or the faint-hearted! We will try and become active viewers together.
If you would like to lead your own film discussion group,
here are some good questions to help get your brain working. Thanks to Jeffrey Overstreet, author of
Through a Screen Darkly.
Past films include:
"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind"
"The Shawshank Redemption"
"Bruce Almighty"
